Used Qin Plus EV Battery Report: SOH and Inspection Checks
A used Qin Plus EV battery report should explain what was checked on the selected car and what remains unknown. Battery technology branding, a dashboard range estimate and one attractive health percentage answer different questions. Before paying a premium, connect the result to vehicle identity, the test method, mechanical condition and a practical charging demonstration.
| Evidence | Limit |
|---|---|
| SOC | Current charge, not battery health |
| SOH estimate | Method-dependent; not guaranteed remaining life |
| Dashboard range | Prediction, not a capacity measurement |
| Underbody/enclosure check | Separate physical condition evidence |
| Charging session | Only the supported mode and conditions demonstrated |
| Warranty page | Regional terms, not automatic coverage for this VIN |

Tie the report to the car and date
Ask for VIN, mileage, inspection date, responsible provider and diagnostic equipment. Reconcile the report with the actual car and any repair or transport events after the test. A result from another Qin Plus is not evidence for your purchase. Identify the battery variant and production period rather than relying on the range label alone. For cars with commercial history, request the relevant dated records without assuming that history itself proves a failed battery.
Separate charge level, SOH and predicted range
State of charge describes current charge, while state of health is an estimate whose meaning depends on the method. A dashboard distance prediction does not replace either measurement or prove usable capacity on your motorway route. Ask the technician which quantities are available, how they were obtained and which conclusions are unsupported. Numbers from different methods should not be ranked as though they were identical tests; one percentage is not a remaining-life guarantee.

Record the conditions and diagnostic limitations
Request relevant temperature, charge level, faults and restrictions of the procedure. Understand whether information was read from a control unit, measured through a specific test or estimated another way. A cleared warning is not evidence that its cause was resolved. Keep missing findings marked unknown and ask what further assessment is appropriate. Do not invent a universal pass threshold from an unrelated regional warranty policy or another BYD model.
Combine electrical findings with underbody inspection
Have a qualified workshop inspect the accessible battery enclosure and related systems using the applicable procedures. Evidence of impact or water damage needs specialist assessment, not repeated charging as proof that everything is safe. Blade Battery technology descriptions do not establish that a used enclosure is intact or that no repair took place. Do not open high-voltage parts, bypass protection or conduct unsafe trials to reproduce a seller video.

Demonstrate charging within a supported setup
Identify the actual inlet and compatible equipment. Document the demonstrated charging mode, station, initial/final charge, time and any warning. A successful session confirms operation under those conditions, not universal compatibility or a future charging curve. AC and DC are separate checks where the vehicle supports them and the buyer needs them. Route suitability should be assessed with appropriate evidence independently of the health report, without exhausting the battery as a buying test.
Use findings in the acceptance decision
Retain the report with history, underbody observations, known work and the agreed vehicle specification. Compare the price with that documented condition and available local support. If an essential result cannot be obtained, evaluate the uncertainty before acceptance rather than describing it as passed. Manufacturer warranty applicability must be confirmed separately for the car and destination. An overseas technology or warranty page is not a promise that a China-exported used Qin Plus qualifies for that cover.
What to request before ordering
- VIN, date, mileage, provider and battery identity.
- Method, temperature, charge level, faults and stated limitations.
- Independent enclosure/underbody evidence and relevant repair history.
- Supported charging demonstration and a written acceptance record.

Questions buyers ask
Does high SOH prove no underbody damage?
No. Battery-state estimation and mechanical enclosure inspection are separate checks.
Does the displayed range measure battery health?
No. It is a prediction affected by conditions and does not replace a suitable report.
Does a European BYD warranty apply automatically to this car?
No. Confirm terms for the selected vehicle and destination independently.
